Ghetto Radio

Ghetto Radio is the most popular radio station among the youth of Nairobi (Kenya), reaching out to millions of listeners all over the city. Nicknamed 'your official Sheng station', Ghetto Radio has been broadcasting since 2008 via the 89.5 FM frequency. The radio station was set up to reveal the fuller picture of life in Kenya, with special focus on the people living in Nairobi's slums (over 50% of the population).

Ghetto Radio broadcasts 24/7 and hosts popular presenters and deejays whose weekly or daily shows generate massive response via phone and social media. The station can be listened to via FM or online using the TIA radio player or the iPhone and Android apps.
